3663 launch 'care in crockery' range
3663 are pleased to introduce their exclusive range of crockery designed specifically for dementia sufferers.
Each piece has been developed to support the person with dementia and enable them to be as independent as possible for as long as possible. The crockery range is yellow as research suggests that foodstuff can be seen more readily, especially with depth perception interference. Design features include: |
|
- weight, to reduce the need for suction mats
- side depth, to maximise the person's ability to use the side of a plate as a food stopper
- width of rim, to catch food dropped
- handles, to maximise person's functional abilities
- cups have a slight turn out to the rim to reduce the need for feeder cups
- glassware chosen for its durability and is made of toughened glass
- plain design as patterns can confuse and distress people with dementia
