Browns Foodservice - the personal touch since 1983
The local independent butchers shop has become quite scarce, but their knowledge and advice was always invaluable. The friendly approachable butcher who would give advice on the best cut of meat for a particular need or budget was worth his weight in gold; cutting your meat to the right size, trimming any unwanted fat so you never paid for what you didn't want, and all with a smile. The benefit of years of training and experience that made many housewives' meals flourish on a meagre budget.
But in these modern days of supermarkets, microwave meals and instant gravy many people have forgotten the skill that belongs to a good butcher. Supermarkets and eating trends have changed the way we buy food today. Many people have become used to buying their meat in plastic trays, and accepting the choice on offer. |

In 1983 a local independent butcher shop opened in Rugby. It only had 2 staff. In 1988, another butcher, Andrew Dalton, bought the shop and ran it very successfully. This was the beginning of Browns Foodservice. Such was the success, Browns Foodservice now has four large facilities across the country; delivering to schools, restaurants and hotels nationwide. Andrew Dalton still runs the business today, and the two apprentices from 1988 are still working in the business too! Neither Andrew Dalton nor Browns Foodservice has ever lost sight of the individual service approach to customers. Andrew Dalton says "We believe the partnership between ourselves and the customer is key. We continually listen to our customers, offering assistance and delivering through experience the product they want."
"Our success is measured by customer satisfaction".
