Profit through quality: Coors top tips
ipa nominated supplier Coors boasts many of the UK's top beer brands, including Carling, the country's best selling lager. Here are some of their tips on how to achieve profit through quality: |
1) Avoid wastage
- 1 drip tray of fob per day = £14000 a year on a 10 tap account!
2) Line clean every 7 days
- By failing to clean your lines every 7 days, wild yeast and bacteria infection can occur resulting in fobbing beer and more waste.
- Use brewery recommended line cleaning fluid
- Pull detergent through at least 3 times
- Don't forget to clean the keg coupling, connecting seals and cleaning sockets with a brush and diluted cleaning fluid
- Clean warm (hand hot at 40oC) and switch off all coolers just beforehand. There isn't a safe detergent that cleans properly at 0-2oC.
|
3) Get the right cellar temperature
4) Dispense at the right temperature
- Lager 5-8oC
- Extra Cold 1-4oC
- Keg Ale 7-9oC
- Cask Ale 12-14oC
- Stout 5-8oC
5) Use clean branded glasses
- Where possible, ensure glasses display appropriate branding. Consumers prefer branded glassware and it significantly improves product presentation
