Luxury Biscuits from Delacre

In 1870 chocolate was a sweet delicacy, often purchased only by the wealthy. Chocolate was also used as a medicine, something which Charles Delacre, a Belgian pharmacist, often prescribed to fortify or restore health. People loved this tasty temptation so much that Delacre opened up a chocolate store next door to his pharmacy. The business prospered and in the early 1900s Delacre diversified his products to include biscuits. These delicacies were a huge success and the recipes for many of the biscuits we know today date back to this time.

Delacre are renowned for making biscuits using the finest ingredients, including rich Belgian chocolate. They have recently launched a mini pack range that is adaptable to all hotel and hospitality needs including meetings, coffee breaks, hotel rooms and drinks service.

The range includes Royale, a golden pastry biscuit dipped in luxurious rich dark chocolate, Café Russe, a thin chocolate flavoured crêpe rolled into a delicate flute, Déli-Choc, creamy Belgian milk chocolate on a crisp golden cookie, and Délices de Fruit, a golden Viennese biscuit filled with melting raspberry jam.
